WALT make sea creatures out of Playdoh.

During our Inquiry Day for the topic 'Under the Sea', we had fun making different sea creatures out of Playdoh. It was great to get creative and use our imaginations! I made a fish.

WALT write a cinquain poem.

Room 4 have been learning how to write cinquain poems. These poems don't rhyme, but have a special number of words per line. We used adjectives, which are describing words and verbs, which are action words.

Success criteria:

- Write the correct number of words per line.

- Use two adjectives.

- Use two verbs.

Chinese new Year.

Room 4 celebrated Chinese New Year by making drums. First, we learned about the legend of the monster Nian who came out to terrorise villages at New Year. The people of China learned how to scare the monster away with loud noises and the colour red, like our noisy red drums!
